Yes, I know it's a tad late to do a wrap-up of things done in January when we're almost a week into February, but I just got here, and better late than never. I'm not entirely sure what to count in this, since I haven't blogged properly in years outside of occasional text posts on tumblr, so we're just fucking around and finding out.
I'm a little disappointed that I didn't finish Persona 3 Reload and The Forbidden City in January like I planned - because I want to finish one game and one book a month to avoid slipping into my usual habit of Not Finishing Things - but the month was generally good overall.
I turned 35, which is a number I didn't think I'd hit. Every year that passes I'm like John Travolta Confused Pulp Fiction gif. I also finally did my initial top surgery Zoom consultation, and I have a second in-person one booked for late February, so it's all very exciting.
I also started to cut down on vaping. It wasn't great to see my estimated number of puffs per day (if we assume 15 is one cigarette) total to roughly 12 cigarettes a day, so that combined with the need to do so for surgery is good enough motivation to stop. I don't have high hopes for staying off it because, historically, I always slip back into bad habits.
But who knows? We'll see.
