❯❯❯❯ LIFE
I continued to struggle adapting to being nicotine-free over the last few weeks, and the havoc it's wreaking on my unmedicated ADHD continues to ripple into everything I do.
I did call my local GP about it and discovered that, apparently, because I refused to go forward with a process that wouldn't even help me during the initial assessment, having ADHD wasn't even written down anywhere in my notes. Northern Ireland also doesn't even offer assessments for adults anymore outside of private ones, so you're fucked if you don't have the money.
Then!! They also took me off my B12 injections, which is hilariously perplexing. Like? Okay, sure, I guess pernicious anemia can go into something of a remission. But the condition itself is still lifelong.
Suddenly telling me I don't need the injections anymore when I was put on them because I don't absorb B12 from food or supplement tablets like regular people do is crazy work. I've been feeling bad for weeks (my injection was supposed to be on April 8th) but I'll handle that another time.
The biggest thing is I'm finally going for top surgery this week!! It's on Thursday, but we leave tomorrow because there are tests to do on Wednesday morning. People keep asking if I'm nervous about it, and I'm... kind of not?
Like, I'm more anxious about the travel aspect going over and coming back than I am about the surgery itself. I'm also not looking forward to essentially being a t-rex for a couple of weeks, but all in all, it's the start of a new chapter of my life, and I'm very excited about it.
❯❯❯❯ GAMES
As predicted, as soon as Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream was released, I became immediately obsessed and dropped everything else. I haven't even made much progress in the game itself yet because I've been too busy making miis! I just have to make three more, then lock in on a vague island design, and then I can finally start actually playing the game.
The timing works out perfectly for recovering from top surgery, too. I just get to watch a bunch of little freaks form relationships in my own little reality show. I have plans to also get back into Pokopia while I'm resting, and also some of my gachas. I installed Infinity Nikki and Punishing: Gray Raven back onto my phone since my laptop wouldn't be able to handle either one.
An unexpected addition to everything was me suddenly getting back into Star Wars: The Old Republic. I updated all my MMOs recently because I plan on doing an MMO Monday thing for streams (essentially, I spin a wheel and play what it gives me), and I've played SWTOR every day for the past week. It will be overshadowed by Final Fantasy XIV and Warframe brainrot soon enough, but until then I'm having a lot of fun.
